Jeanne S. Bonzelet (nee Jeanne Lamers) 115 E. Second St., Kimberly, age 75, died Thursday July 12, 1990 following a lingering illness. She was born February 4, 1915 in Kimberly, Wisconsin, the daughter of the late Edward and Anna Lamers. Jeanne was one of the co-founders of the Plamann School and strived to better the education and welfare of all retarded indivduals. She was an avid card player and bowler. She was a member of Holy Name Catholic Church, Ladies of Holy Name and the Kimberly Golden Agers.
She is survived by a daughter and son in-law; Lavonne and Del Handrich, Kimberly; three sons and daughters in-law; Richard and Sue, Ludington, Michigan; Dr. William and Lura, Burlington, Wisconsin; Tom and Jaimie, Appleton; a brother and two sisters in-law; Harold and Lois Lamers, Kimberly; Margaret Lamers, Minnesota; two sisters and a brother in-law; Rose and John Sanderfoot-De Valk, Martha Weyenberg, all of Little Chute; 13 grandchildren, 7 great grandchildren. She is also survived by her husband's relatives, Fred and Fran Bonzelet, Madison; Laura Bonzelet, Olivia Layman, both of Minnesota.
She was preceded in death by her husband, William; a daughter, Sharon; two sisters and five brothers.
The funeral service will be 10:30 a.m. Monday July 16, 1990 at Holy Name Catholic Church, Kimberly with the Msgr. Robert F. Gulig officiating. Burial will be in Holy Name Cemetery. Friends may call at the Jansen-Fargo Funeral Home, 204 E. Kimberly Ave., Kimberly from 4 until 9 p.m. on Sunday and after 8:30 a.m. Monday at the funeral home, until the cortege leaves for the church. The Kimberly Golden Agers will meet at 7 p.m. and the parish prayer service will be at 8 p.m. Sunday. A memorial fund has been established in her name.
