- Anton Nadler, 77, a farmer in the town of Stockbridge, Calumet County, died unexpectedly at his home Thursday morning May 28.
Mr. Nadler was born near Marytown Oct. 19, 1881, a son of Mr. and Mrs. Frank Nadler. He was married to Mary Wettstein in 1907 and after her death in 1919 he was married Sept. 6, 1921 to Rose Groeschel at St. Charles Church, Charlesburg. He was a member of St. Elizabeth Catholic Church, Kloten, and a member of the Holy Name Society.
Mr. Nadler leaves his wife; eight children from his first marriage, Emanuel, William and Edmund all of Chilton, Ervin of the town of Chilton, Mrs. Norbert (Alvera) Wagner of the town of Stockbridge, Mrs. John (Delphine) Basler and Mrs. John (Marcella) Woelfel of the town of Chilton and Mrs. Leo (Katherine) Joas, Cudahy, Wis.; four children from his second marriage, Mrs. James (Marie) Friel and Mrs. Morgan (Rosalie) Burke of Chicago, Paul of New Holstein, and Anton Jr. of the town of Stockbridge; 42 grandchildren; five great grandchildren and four sisters, Mrs. Phillip Nett, Sherwood, Mrs. Rose Mueller of New Holstein, Mrs. Anna Dietz, Appleton and Mrs. Lou Goell of Sheboygan. One daughter, one son, on brother and three sisters preceded him in death.
Funeral services were held at the St. Elizabeths Church, Kloten. The Rev. Raymond Conard, officiated the Requiem Mass and burial was in the parish cemetery.
