      Harold H. Lamers, Kimberly, age 83, passed away February 1, 2001. He was born February 25, 1917 to Edward and Anna (Vandenheuvel) Lamers. He married Lois Wagner on October 26, 1940 at Holy Cross Church in Kaukauna. He was a member of the Kimberly American Legion. He worker for Kimberly Clark for 39 years, and then for Midtech Paper Co. for two years. Both Harold and Lois were foster parents for Outagamie County for over 20 years. He served in World War II for 3 1/2 years, he was in the 18th Chemical Division, then transferred to the Infantry. He enjoyed horse shoes, bowling, golfing, cards, and fishing at his cabin at Shute Pond in Mountain.

      He is survived by his wife Lois, his children; Charlene Mitchell and friend Ken, Appleton; William (Janet) Lamers, Sussex; Gerilyn (Don) Larson, Hoffman Estates, Illinois; three grandchildren; Shawn (Phillip) Christenson, Seymour; LeeAnn (Brad) Werner, Kaukauna; Ben Lamers, Sussex; three great grandchildren, Trevor Christenson, Zack Werner, Annalise Werner. Special foster children; Sue (Pat) Hnilicka, and children, Lander, Wyoming; Mary (Paul) Leitermann and children, Appleton; Barb (Mark) Mangold, and children, Kaukauna; Beth DeWald, Appleton; many nieces and nephews. Brothers and sister in-law; Charles (Marge) Wagner, Sussex; Frank (Rita) Wagner, Florida; sister in-law; Ruth Kieffer, Kaukauna.

      He is preceded in death by; five sisters and brothers in-law; Hattie (Pete) Behling, Josie (Ted) VanCuyke, Rose (Joe) Sanderfoot, Martha (Henry) Weyenberg, Jean (Bill) Bonzelet, also four brothers and sisters in-law; John (Margaret) Lamers, Ted (Minnie) Lamers, Jake (Marie) Lamers, Clarence (Irene) Lamers, and brother in-law, Elmer Kieffer.

      Visitation will be held Saturday, February 3, 2001 from 10:30 a.m. to noon at Holy Name Church in Kimberly. A memorial service will be held at noon.
