Age 67, died Thursday, January 18, 1990 at his home following a short illness. He was born November 13, 1922 in Little Chute, the son of the late John and Nellie (Derks) Ver Voort. He served with the U.S. Army Engineers during World War II. Porky had been employed at Kimberly Clark-Midtec for 45 years retiring in 1984. He was a member of Holy Name Catholic Church and the Quarter Centry Club of Midtec.
He is survived by his wife of 46 years, Virginia (Laeyendecker) Ver Voort; three sons and three daughters in-law; David and Darleen Ver Voort, Appleton; Donald and Janet Ver Voort, Menasha; Thomas and Jenny Ver Voort, Kaukauna; a daughter and a son in-law, Mary Pat amd Kacl Sealy, Little Chute; ten grandchildren; David Jr., and Tammy Ver Voort, Paul, Donny Jr., Mikey, Rhonda and Rog (Howe) Ver Voort, Kevin, and Kris Ver Voort, John J. and Missy Sealy, a great grandchild, Brett Howe; four brothers and five sisters in-law; Peter and Ruth Ver Voort, Seymour; Robert and Katie Ver Voort, Kaukauna; James and Millie Ver Voort, Combined Locks; Anthony Ver Voort, Sherwood; Joan Ver Voort , Kaukauna; and Nellie Ver Voort, Combined Locks; four sisters and two brothers in-law, Harriet and Hank Vanevenhoven, Kaukauna; Sister Jean Anthony Ver Voort, Racine; Theresa and Frank Van Stappen, Little Chute; Margaret Ver Voort, Appleton; and a sister in-law, Josephine Stuyvenberg, Kimberly.
He was preceded in death by a stepfather, Matt Vanden Bosch; three sisters; Katherine and Agnes Ver Voort and Marie Van Nuland; four brothers; Joseph, Richard, John (Jack) and George Ver Voort.
The funeral service will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Holy Name Catholic Church, Kimberly with Msgr. Robert F. Gulig officiating. Burial will be in Holy Name Cemetery. Friends may call at the Holy Name Church from 4 until 9 p.m. on Friday and after 9 a.m. Saturday until the time of service. There will be a parish prayer service at 8 p.m. Friday. A memorial fund has been established for Holy Name Cathlic Church. Jansen-Fargo Funeral Home assisted the family with arrangements.
