Age 69, died Tuesday, November 5, 1996 at home peacefully in the presence of her family after a lingering illness. She was born September 20, 1927 in Appleton, the daughter of the late Felix and Adell (Appleton) Muelemans. Betty married Jack Van Lieshout on August 24, 1946; he preceded her in death on October 25, 1955. She married Richard J. Weyenberg of Little Chute on March 5. 1957. Mom loved to play Sheepshead, bowl, dance and spend her weekends up north at Silver Spur. Mom was the life of the party and made friends with all that knew her. Mom was a great cook and a great friend. She was a member of Holy Name Catholic Church and National Catholic Society of Foresters.
She is survived by her husband, Richard Weyenberg; six children; David and Connie Van Lieshout, Ashwaubenon; Michael and JoEllyn Van Lieshout, Merrill; James and Barbara Van Lieshout, Jefferson; JoAnn and Steve Cegelski, Stevens Point; Julie and Steve Jacobson, Rothschild; Patrick 'PJ' Weyenberg and special friend, Patti Kickbusch, Algoma; 12 grandchildren; Lisa and Aaron Van Lieshout, John and Becky Van Lieshout, Elizabeth, James' JJ' and Marie Van Lieshout, Justina and Suzanne Cegelski, Thomas and Katrina Jacobson, Kate Jerow, the daughter of the late Mary Beth, a brother and sister in-law; Robert and Bea Meulemans, Winneconnie; four sisters and brothers in-law; Mary and Don Van Ooyen, Mesa, Az.; Dorothy and Robert Etka, Kimberly; Peggy and Tom Greunke, Kimberly; Jeanie and Terry Kenjeski, Kimberly; nieces and nephews and special friends. Barb Van Eperen and Mary Schuh.
She was preceded in death by two daughters; Mary Beth Goodwin on December 6, 1981; and Suellen Van Lieshout on November 30, 1983; her grandson, Jeffery Van Lieshout on October 24, 1986; her parents; Felix on March 25, 1971 and Adell on March 21, 1995. The Mass of the Resurrection will at 11 a.m. Friday at Holy Name Catholic Church, Kimberly with Fr. Frank Weber officiating. Burial will be in Holy Name Cemetery. Friends may call at the Jansen-Fargo Funeral Home 204 E. Kimberly Ave, Kimberly from 4 unti 8 p.m. on Thursday and after 9:30 a.m. on Friday at the church until the time of services. There will be a parish prayer service at 7:30 p.m. Thursday. In lieu of flowers a memorial fund has been established.
