      Mrs. Willard J. Grode (Aurelia O. Schmlz) W5950 Rock Road, Hortonville

      Age 78, died unexpectedly at her home Thursday, April 18, 1991. She was born in Menasha on May 14, 1912, the daughter of the late Peter and Barbara (Ottman) Schmalz. Aurelia was a member of St. Edward Catholic Church, Mackville for 58 years and also belonged to their Christian Mothers Society and was a member of the Disabled Citizens Incorporated.

      She is survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Audrey and Ray Nussbaum, Appleton, three sons and daughters-in-law; Floyd and Norma Grode, Pickerel; Roger and Judy Grode, Seymour; Rene and Lois Grode, Black Creek, four sisters-in-law: Mrs. Edmund (Mildred) Grode, Freedom, Mrs. Joseph (Adeline) Fox, Appleton, Mr. and Mrs. Harold (Rose) Verstegen, Little Chute; Viola Grode Rudloff, Hortonville; a brother-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Roland (Gloria) Grode, Appleton; 14 grand children and 14 great grandchildren.

      Aurelia was preceded in death by her husband Willard, a son Myron; a sister Loretta Noe, five brothers; Alex, Arnold, Ralph, Rueben, Walter and a grandson David Grode.

      The Mass of Resurrection will be Saturday, April 20, 1991 at 11 a.m. at St. Edwards Catholic Church, Mackville with the Rev. Ron Belitz officiating. Internment will be in St. Edwards Parish cemetary. Friends may call at the Wichmann Funeral Home on Friday from 4:00 until 9:00 p.m. and Saturday from 8:00 until the cortage leaves for the church. The Christian Mothers Society will recite the rosary on Friday at 7:00 p.m. followed by the parish prayer and scripture service at 8:15 p.m. A memorail fund is established.
