- JOSEPH A. WEBER
Formerly of 230 South Oak Street, age 88, died Wednesday morning at the home of his son Emmet, in Beaver Dam. He was born January 2, 1889 in Appleton. Mr. Weber was Vice President of Weber Knitting Mills and Weber Knit Wear for over 50 years. He was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, a fifty year member of the Knights of Columbus and the Allouez General Assembly Fourth Degree Knights of Columbus, a fifty year member of the Catholic Oreder of Foresters, a fifty year member of the United Commercial Travelers, a charter member of the Catholic War Veterans, and the Third Order of St. Francis. He was also active in Scouting for over 30 years. Survivors include a daughter Mrs. Joseph (Lucille) Welhouse, Green Bay; four sons, J. Thomas and Robert G, both of Appleton, Emmet H., Beaver Dam; Kenneth, Chilton; Two sisters; Miss Lena Weber, and Mrs. Elmer (Marcella) Kranzusch, both of Appleton; and 28 grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, Genevive, in June 1966. The funeral will be in St. Joseph Catholic Church. Burial will be in St. Joseph Cemetery. Friends may call at the Wichmann Funeral Home from 4 to 9 p.m. Friday. There will be a prayer service at 7;30 p.m. Friday.
