    • MABEL J. Tople,96, died Friday, March 2,2007 at Rennes Health Care Center, De Pere. MABEL was born Sept. 3, 1910 in the town of Bellevue to the late ARNOLD & ANTONETTA (WELLENS) GEURTS. In 1929 she married BERNARD WAHL who preceded her in death in 1955. MABEL married HENRY TOPLEY in 1961 and he preceded her in death April 4, 1999. MABEL was employed at Schain's in Green Bay and at the Boston Store in Milwaukee. Prior to entering Rennes, Mabel and her sister, EDNA lived together at Mabel's home. They were inseperable and loved each other throughout their lives. EDNA passed away on Feb. 26, 2006. MABEL was a member of the Women's Club of De Pere, the Catholic Women's Club of Green Bay, the Ladies Guild of Resurrection Church and D.O.O. Women's League. She loved to travel, expecially on cruises to Cancun and other islands. She was an excellent swimmer and in her early years taught swimming at the local YMCA. She enjoyed her bridge clubs and golfing leagues. MABEL was a great cook. I you visisted her, you always took home cookies, soup or breads. She truly enjoyed having friends and family for dinners. She loved all her grandchildren, nieces and nephews and they really loved her. We will all miss her.

      Survivors include one step-daughter, BARBARA TANNCK, Warren VT, three grandchildren; Todd, Tracy and Tammy, seven great grandchildren, sisters-in-law LORRAINE GEURTS, CAROL GEURTS & JEANETTE GEURTS, all of Green Bay. JEANNE BENSON, South Carolina, as well as many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Besides her parent and husbands she was preceded in death by one step-son, H. WYNN TOPLEY III; EIGHT BROTHERS EDWARD, CLARENCE FRANCOIS, NORBERT, RAYMOND, ALVIN, HERMAN, HAROLD & JACKIE GEURTS; three sisters; EDNA LOM, ALMA LOOZE & MARIE PENNISSONE.

      Friends may call at Proko-Wall Funeral Home and Crematory, 1630 East Mason Street, on Wednesday from 4-8 pm. Parish Prayer Service at 7 pm at the funeral home. Visitation will continue at Resurrection Catholic Church, 333 Hilltop Drive, Allouez on Thursday from 10:00-11:00 am. Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 am at the church with Bishop Robert Momeau officiating. In Liew of flowers a memorial fund has been established in MABEL'S name. The family would like to thank the staff at Rennes for the care provided for MABEL.
