    • Clara Elizabeth (Cary) Vanderloop was born on Sunday; April 20, 1930 in Paxton; Keith County, Nebraska. She was the daughter of Eldon and Clare (Giles) Cary. Clara graduated from the Greeley High School in Greeley, Nebraska. On June 21, 1948 she was united in marriage to Eugene A. Vanderloop at the Sacred Heart Church in Greeley, NE. She worked at Boyts for several years and was a homemaker. She was a member of the St. Mark Catholic Church. Clara Elizabeth (Cary) Vanderloop, age 79, passed away on Wednesday; January 13, 2010 at the Ellsworth Municipal Hospital in Iowa Falls. Those left to mourn her passing are: Her three daughters, Susan Turner of Roland, Cathy Widmann and her husband, Roger of Iowa Falls and Joy Vanderloop of Hampton; four sons, Gene Vanderloop of Alden, Tom Vanderloop and his wife, Carol of Alden, Dan Vanderloop and his wife, Tammy of Hubbard, and Tim Vanderloop and his wife, Mary of Alden; 14 grandchildren; 17 great grandchildren; three sisters, Charlotte Cunningham of Iowa Falls, Francis Zieger of Syracuse, NE, and Meta Mahoney of Cedar Rapids, NE; and a brother, Gerald Cary of Greeley, NE.
      She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Eugene; and a brother Aaron (Bud) Cary. May they rest in peace. Visitation will be from 3:00 p.m. until 5:00 p.m. on Sunday at the Surls Funeral Home in Iowa Falls with a 5 P.M. Scripture service. Funeral services will begin at 10:00 a.m. on Monday at the St. Mark Catholic Church in Iowa Falls with burial in the Alden Cemetery.
