Floyd R. Sprangers 1914-862 Hwy 96 Kaukauna
Age 61, died Friday, September 11, 1987 after a six month illness. He was born August 10, 1926 in the Town of Harrison, Calumet Co., the son of the late Joseph and Edna Hopfensperger Sprangers. He lived and worked in this area his entire life and was an avid hunter, and fisherman. He had been employed by Oudenhoven Construction Co., Kaukauna, for about 40 years. He was a World War II Army Veteran and a member of Wrightstown American Legion Post 436 and Brick Layers Union.
Survivors include his wife, Evelyn Van Zeeland Sprangers; two daughters and sons in-law; Debbie and John Brice, Greenleaf; Lynn and Paul Zwick, Kaukauna; a son, James, at home; a granddaughter, Nikki Brice; two brothers and three sisters in-law; Leonard and Mary Sprangers, Freedom; Joseph and Kay Sprangers, Menasha; Marlene Griesbach, Greenville; five sisters and brothers in-law; Janet and Don Vanden Heuvel, Appleton; Beatrice and Frederick Mueller, Kaukauna; Elaine and Eugene Gregoire, Menasha; Lorraine and Jerome Kolh, Appleton; Margie and Ken Van Stralen, Darboy.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Lawrence. The funeral will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday at Holy Cross Catholic Church, Kaukauna, with the Rev. Mike Sommers officiating. Interment will be in the parish cemetery. Friends may call at the Fargo Funeral Home, 400 W. Wisconsin Ave., Kaukauna, from 4 until 9 p.m. Sunday and on Monday after 8:30 until the cortege leaves for the church. There will be a American Legion visitation at 7 p.m. Sunday and the prayer service at 8 p.m.
