James J. Wallace Parkside Care Center, Little Chute, formerly of Route 1 Fremont, age 79 died Thursday at Kaukauna Community Hospital. He was born March 13, 1908 in Darboy, the son of the late Daniel and Lena (Grode) Wallace. He married Stella Vanden Heuvel on May 13, 1930 in Little Chute. He was employed at Appleton Papers in Combined Locks for 34 years. He was a member of the Quarter Century Club and Catholic Forsters.
Survivors include four son and three daughters in-law; Earl and Carla, Combined Locks; Kenneth and Mary, Kaukauna; Roland and Bonnie, De Pere; William, Kaukauna; four daughters and sons in-law; Rosemary and Eugene Verhagen, Appleton; Grace and Mel Hietpas, Combined Locks; Donna and Dennis Eake, Readfieled; Patricia and Vic Van Grinsven, Chilton; four sisters; Rosella Sprangers, Green Bay; Isabell Stumpf, Darboy; Beatrice Buchinger, Kaukauna; Catherine Vanden Elzen, Appleton; three brothers; Daniel, Combined Locks; John and Clem both of Darboy; a brother in-law; Henry Stumpf, Neenah. 31 grandchildren and 25 great grandchildren.
He was preceded by his parents, a sister Margaret Stumpf and a brother Edward. Funeral services will be held Monday at 11 a.m. at St. Peter and St. Paul Catholic Church in Weyauwega with the Rev. Paul Feider officiating. Interment will be at the Oakwood Cemetery, Weyauwega. Friends may call at the Lewin Funeral Home in Fremont on Sunday from 4 to 9 p.m.
