    • M. Madeline Weyenberg, 88, of the town of Edson, Stanley, died Monday, July 31, 2000, at her residence.

      She was born Sept. 16, 1911, in the town of Edson, the daughter of John and Theresa (Smasal) Wellner. She grew up in the area and attended area schools.

      Madeline married Frank Weyenberg at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Edson on May 8, 1935. They farmed in the town of Delmar for 10 years before moving to the town of Edson where they lived and farmed for 25 years. Upon retirement they lived in the Village of Boyd. For the past three years she has resided with her daughter and son-in-law, Dave and Mary Endru.

      She loved playing cards, gardening, sewing, baking and especially had a great love for her family.

      She is survived by three daughters, Jean (Rex) Johnson of St. Paul, Minn., Mary (Dave) Endru of Stanley and Jeri (Michael) Dickrell of Wautoma; eight grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

      She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband Frank on Nov. 29, 1993; a grandson, John Joseph Felix; two brothers, Frank and Joseph Wellner.

      She was a member of St. Elizabeth's Society and a charter member of the Mar-Burn Club.

      Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Boyd, with Father Robert Nelson officiating. Burial will be in Holy Family Cemetery.

      Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Plombon Funeral Home, Stanley, where the Rosary will be recited at 7:30 p.m.
