Julia A. (Berghuis) Sprangers N2809 Hwy 45, Hortonville, age 69, died peacefully at her home on Friday Morning, November 12, 1993 following her courageous battle with cancer. She was born January 26, 1924, in Little Chute, to the late Peter and Nellie (Ebben) Berghuis. On September 11, 1943 she married Raymond J. Sprangers at St. Therese Catholic Church in Appleton. They had been residents of Hortonville for the past 25 years. She was a member of the St. Peter and Paul Catholic Church and Christian Mothers and Altar Society.
She is survived by he husband Ray; their four daughters and three son in-laws; Judy (Marty) Papesh, New London; Donna (Dennis) Coenen, Hortonville; Barb (Dave) Warning, Shiocton; and Patti Sprangers, Hortonville; a son and daughter in-law; Raymond Jr. (Jodi), Hortonville; 16 grandchildren and a great grand child, 5 sisters and three brothers in-law; Lauretta Revoir, Calif.; Rosine Nienhaus, Seymour; Dorothy and Earl Kerrigan, Appleton; Joan and Don Kolosso, Appleton; Carol and Peter Kessler, Kaukauna; and Jim Heineman, Kimberly; a brother and three sisters in-law; Stanley and Darlene Berghuis, Kaukauna; Eunice (Marto) Berghuis, Green Bay; and Mary Jane (Flack) Berghuis, Michigan. She is further survived by an aunt, Sr. Rosine Ebben, Racine; and an uncle, Martin (Alice) Ebben, Encinitas, Ca.
She was preceded by two brothers; Raymond and Clarence Berghuis; and a sister, Alice (Berghuis) Heinemann; and two brothers in-law; Jerry Nienhaus and Paul Revior.
Family and friends may call at the Borchardt and Moder Funeral Home, 109 W. Main St., Hortonville on Sunday from 5 until 8 p.m. or after 9:30 a.m. Monday at the funeral home until the cortege leaves for Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church for an 11 a.m. Mass with Fr. Dennis Bergsbaken officiating. In lieu of flowers, there will be a memorial fund established in her name.
