      Age 67, died Wednesday, July 4, 2001, at Franciscan Care Center, Appleton. Nell was born on October 1, 1933, in Oneida, to the late Martin and Marie (Van Beek) Vander Zanden, Sr. She married Donald Reis on September 1, 1954, in Shiocton. Nell was a member of Christian Mothers; Greenville Womens Club; Greenville Ladies Fire Auxiliary; Socialites; was the secretary of several bowling leagues; enjoyed playing cards with the Party Bunch; and was on the Craft and Funeral Committees at St. Mary Catholic Church-Greenville for many years. Survivors include her husband of 46 years, Donald; their children, Leonard (Debra) Reis, Hortonville; Merlin (Ann) Reis, Kaukauna; Laurie (William) Evers, Freedom; Monica Yohn, Combined Locks; Kevin Reis (special friend, Mary), Little Chute; and Dennis Reis, Greenville; her grandchildren, Pennie, Patti, Matthew and Jonathan Reis; David, Jacob and Miranda Reis; Michelle and Mark Evers; Victoria, Kyle and Stephanie Yohn, and Kristy; her sisters, Ann (Boniface) Kempen, Hollandtown; Mary (Harvey) Fenske, Fremont; Patricia (Fred) Techlin, Freedom; her brothers, Martin (Vivian) Vander Zanden, Jr, Florida; John Vander Zanden, Appleton; Ray (Joyce) Vander Zanden, Illinois; Robert (Barb) Vander Zanden, New Jersey; Ken (Luanne) Vander Zanden, Little Chute; Eugene (Joan) Vander Zanden, Kaukauna; Donald (Linda) Vander Zanden, Kaukauna; Tom (Carla) Vander Zanden, Appleton; and Richard (Kathy) Vander Zanden, Darboy; her sisters-in-law, Sherry Vander Zanden, Florida; special friend, Bonnie; Delores (Stanley) Hieronimczak, Pulaski; her brothers-in-law, Arnold (Darlene) Reis, Menasha; Bob Stencil, Denmark; and Orville Heiting, Greenville; nieces, nephews and many friends. She was preceded in death by her son, Jim; her brother, Larry; her sisters-in-law Dorothy Vander Zanden, Rosella Stencil and Carol Heiting, and Beatrice (Phillip) Kuczar; and her brother-in-law, Isadore (Elaine) Reis. The Funeral Liturgy will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, July 7, 2001, at ST. MARY CATHOLIC CHURCH-GREENVILLE, N2385 Municipal Road, Greenville, with Fr. John Zickert and Fr. Justin Werner officiating. Friends may call at the Wichmann Funeral Home, Appleton, on Friday from 4 to 8 p.m. and again on Saturday directly at the church from 10 a.m. until the time of services. There will be a Parish Prayer and Scripture Service at 7:00 p.m. on Friday at the funeral home. Interment will be in St. Mary Catholic Church-Greenville Cemetery. A memorial has been established in Nell’s name.
