Leo Hendricks 284 Holland Rd. Appleton
Age 70, passed away at 4 a.m. Wednesday, January 23, 1991. He was the son of the late Martin and Gertrude [De Bruin] Hendricks. He was born October 20, 1920 in Appleton. He married Mary Jane Klister on June 1, 1944 st St. Paul Catholic Church, Wrightstown, they had been married for 46 years. He had farmed in the Town of Vandenbroek all of his life. He was a member of St. John Catholic Church, a former county supervisor, and a member of the highway commission. He was past town chairman for the Town of Vandenbroek, and former member and past commander of American Legion Post No. 258, Little Chute. He was a World War II veteran.
Survivors include his wife, Mary Jane [Klister] Hendricks; three sons and two daughters in-law; Dennis and JoAnn Hendricks, Kaukauna; Robert and Sandy Hendricks, Robins, Iowa; Paul Hendricks, Appleton; six daughters and sons in-law; Joan and Dennis Hauser, Little Chute; Diane and Mark Wallace, Appleton; Nancy and Michael Pingel, Appleton; Cindy Hendricks, Appleton; Barb and David Van De Hey, De Pere; Janice and Paul Wildenberg, Little Chute; John Labs, Kaukauna; three brothers; Art and Martha Hendricks, Appleton; Ed and Gladys Hendricks, Appleton; Henry and Agnes Hendricks, Kaukauna; four sisters; Minnie Hietpas, Little Chute; Inez Ebben, Little Chute; Theresa Schmidt, Kaukauna; Angela and Sylvester Geurts, Kaukauna; 16 grandchildren; Dan and Troy Hendricks; Don and Tracy Hauser; Holly and Carrie Hendricks; Jennie and Chris Wallace; Amy and Levi Pingel; Matthew, Derek and Ross Van De Hey; Monica, Timmey and Kyle Lee Wildenberg; two God children; Jeff Hendricks and Jan Marie Van Dyke.
He was preceded in death by his parents; three daughters; Sherilyn, Sandra, and Darlene; two sons; Donald and Joseph; and a sister, Loretta.
A concelebrated funeral mass will be held 11 a.m. Saturday from St. John Catholic Church, Little Chute, with the Rev. Mike Flanary and Rev. Msgr. James Vanden Hogen and Decon Vin De Groot officiating. Interment will be in the parish cemetery. Friends may call at the Verkuilen Funeral Home from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday and from 10 a.m. Saturday, at the church, until the time of services. The parish prayer service will be at 7 p.m. friday.
Leo was a avid fisherman and was also known as the little farmer who raised pumkins and other vegatables. Leo will be missed by his family and many friends.
