      Age 88, passed away Thursday, November 6, 1997 at the Weyauwega Health Care Center where he had made his home for the past nine years. Richard was born September 4, 1909 in Appleton, son of the late Albert and Martha [Bierman] Belling. He was previously married to the former Mary Hopfensperger who preceded him in death in 1982. For 22 years he was employed as a machine operator for the Kimberly Clark Corp. From 1942 - 1949 he served his country as a member of the United States Army. He was a resident volunteer at the Weyauwega Health Care Center, active in all functions, including the traveling bowling team. He was an avid Green Bay Packers fan who was always proud to wear the true colors.

      There are no immediate survivors. His family and friends were the staff and residents at the health care center.

      Funeral services will be held Saturday, November 8, 1997 at 10 a.m. at the Weyauwega Health Care Center, with the Rev. Raymond Barz officiating. Entombment will be in Riverside Cemetery, Appleton. Friends may call Saturday at the nursing home chapel from 9:30 a.m. until the hour of services.
