      Wednesday, April 15, 1964

      Michael J. Grode, 338 Oak St., Menasha, age 81, passed away Tuesday after a three year illness. He was born November 6, 1882 in Menasha, and has been a resident of Menasha his entire life. He was a member of Co. I, National guards from 1900-1913.

      Mr. Grode is survived by his wife, Jennie; three daughters, Miss Jo Grode, Menasha; Mrs. Otis (Anna Jane) Graves, Appleton; Mrs. Mildred Burke, Burbank, Calif.; five sons, Jerry, Ventura, Calif.; James Paul, Clearwater, Fla.; Carlton, Menasha; Chris, Neenah; William, LaCrosse; two brothers, Phil, Menasha; Joseph, Nekoosa, Wis.; two sisters, Mrs. Anna Donovan, Indianapolis, Ind.' Mrs. Frances Burtes, San Francisco, Calif.; 22 grandchildren.

      Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday at St. Patrick Catholic Church, Menasha, with the Rt. Rev. Magr. Joseph Ahearn officiating. Burial will be in Rest Haven Cemetery. Friends may call at the Laemmrich Funeral Home, Menasha after 4 p.m. Wednesday. Rosary will be prayed at 8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
