My great grandpa Geurts was a farmer. He had 13 kids, the last two were twins who are my great aunt Judy and my Grandpa Geurts. He was a man of few words, but he expected you to be a good person. He had a strong morality. He would cook for my dad and them when they were hunting. He loved to play sheepshead which is a card game. They lived up north in summer after they retired from farming, and they fished and almost everything he caught he did and could keep. He worked in the yard and had a HUGE garden! His life was finished at 87 because he had prostate cancer. He had it for 10 years and lived it out for those years.
He was born February 5, 1908 and died September 6, 1994. He worked in a paper mill called Kimberly Clark for 15 years. He liked to hunt and was Outagamie County Town Clerk for 10 years.
