    • Glenn "Beaver" Boettcher of Brillion, age 65, passed away Wednesday, September 19, 2012 at Green Bay Aurora Baycare Medical Center with his family by his side after a courageous 9 month battle with cancer. He was born on August 2nd, 1947 in Manitowoc, WI to the late Reuben "Buck" and Dorothy (Caflisch) Boettcher.

      Glenn graduated from Reedsville High School in 1965. Glenn married his loving wife Sue (Spatchek) Boettcher on May 3rd 1969 at St Mary's Church in Reedsville. They resided in Brillion where they raised their two sons, Kevin and Todd. On September 9th, 2009 he retired from the Brillion Iron Works after 43 years of service. His hobbies included hunting trips out west, sturgeon fishing, and time spent at his fish pond/woods. He enjoyed quality time with his grandchildren maintaining his backyard bird sanctuary! Glenn and Sue looked forward to their trips to Vegas and scenic drives to Bayfield.

      Glenn is survived by his wife, Sue Boettcher, two sons, Kevin Boettcher and his children Cody and Ashley, and Todd (Tanya) Boettcher and their children, Justin, Brady and Marlie, two sisters, Gail (Tim) Steeber and Gwen (Ken) Weber, one brother Wayne (Cindy), mother-in-law, Marcella Spatchek, sisters-in-law, Sandy (Ron) Buboltz, Diane Stoer, Debbie (Norbie) Miller, and many nieces and nephews, other relatives and friends.

      He was preceded in death by their infant son, his parents Reuben and Dorothy (Caflisch) Boettcher, father-in-law Elroy Spatchek, brother-in-law Bob Stoer, and other relatives.

      Funeral service will be held at 4:00 p.m. on Friday, September 21, 2012 at the Wieting Funeral Home in Brillion. Officiating at the service will be the Rev. Timothy Brandt. Entombment will take place at Knollwood Mausoleum in the town of Kossuth.

      Friends may call at the funeral home on Friday afternoon from 1:00 p.m. until the time of the service at 4:00 p.m. Online condolences may be made at www.wieting-funeralhome.com.
