      "Sal" Sally Marie (Schmidt) Peters, 72, Green Bay, died Friday, November 21, 2014. She was born January 10, 1942, in Green Bay to Norman and Olive (Charbonneau) Schmidt.

      On July 25, 1960, Sal married John R. Peters and he preceded her in death on February 2, 2012. Sal's passion for her family was greater than anything. She was always there for others. Sal loved gardening, cooking, and doing puzzles. Her favorite time of the year was Christmas and her goal was to keep the Christmas spirit alive all year long. Sal was a longtime member of Trinity Lutheran Church where she assisted with funeral lunches.

      Sal is survived by her daughter, Christine (fiancé, Jamie Bukouricz) LeMay; Tina (Scott) Kenny, Niagara, WI; grandchildren, Carla (Eric) Winter, Pulaski; Raymond Leisgang, Catherine (David Maskell) Leisgang, Algoma; Amber LeMay; great-grandchildren, Jonathan, Michael, Steven, and Cordell; her siblings, Mary Lou (Howard) Emmert, Carol Raymond, Cindy Shanks, Jerry (Cheri) Schmidt, Rose (William "Ole") Dunham; and her sister-in-law, Rita Schmidt.

      She was preceded in death by her husband, John; an infant son, John; her parents; two sisters, Linda Rhoat and Bonnie Long; brother, Roy Schmidt; and son-in-law, James LeMay.

      Friends may call at Trinity Lutheran Church, 330 S. Broadway, from 9 to 11 a.m. Tuesday. The Funeral Service will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday at the church with Rev. Wayne Garman officiating.
