Obituary Our beloved wife, mother and grandmother, Linda Rachel (Bevers) Hietpas, age 77, earned her heavenly wings on Saturday, January 9, 2021, after a short illness. Linda was born on August 20, 1943 in Little Chute, WI to the late Adrian and Myrtle (Le Boeuf) Bevers, the youngest of ten children. On February 17, 1962, she married the love of her life, Mark Thomas Hietpas. Together they raised five children, all of whom learned the true meaning of love and family from their parents. Linda’s family was her pride and joy. She rarely missed an event that her grandchildren were involved in. She loved and supported them as their biggest fan! She was a beautician by profession, after going back to college once her children were all in school. She and Mark owned The Back Door Hairstylists for many years. Linda loved life and she and Mark spent many years traveling, golfing, and spending time at the casino. After her retirement, she discovered her hidden talent and began painting. She was a beautiful artist and all of her children and grandchildren have at least one of her paintings as a keepsake. Survivors include her husband of almost 59 years, Mark; her five children: Julie (Willie) Hietpas, Danny (Monica) Hietpas, Mark (Kay) Hietpas, Karen (Ken) Verbruggen, and Chris “Pudge” (Amy) Hietpas; her twenty grandchildren: Steph (Ryan) Brincks, Jesse (Laura), Mitchell (Andrea), Jake (Taylor), Will (Morgan); Travis, Rachel (Kyle) Belter, Bethany (fiancé Nick); Cody, Zack, Alex, Marki, Kyra; Luke (Emily) Verbruggen, Ben (fiancée Hannah) Verbruggen, Anna Verbruggen; Clare (fiancé Thomas), Charlie, Nate and Hilary; her siblings: Wes (Marge) Bevers and Mike (Dar) Bevers; her brothers and sisters in-law: Luke (Rosie), Clare (Leon) Van Boxtel, Sheila (Clyde) Schepp, Tom (Sheila), Mike (Jo), Russ Harmon, Nancy Bevers and Sally Bevers; eight great-grandchildren (with another on the way) and numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her father and mother in-law, John and Elizabeth (Vanden Heuvel) Hietpas; her siblings: Orval (Ruth), Vivian (Marv) Skalmusky, Eunice (Woody) McCabe, Jesse, Audrey (Jerome) Schmidt, Dave, and Carol; her brothers and sisters-in-law: Don (Dorothy), Joyce (Emmet) McMorrow, June (Bob) Stuyvenberg, Helen Harmon, Claude (Lois), John (Shirley), Margaret (Carl) Peeters, Matthew, and Evelyn Hietpas. Visitation will be held at ST. JOHN NEPOMUCENE CATHOLIC CHURCH (323 Pine St. Little Chute) on Saturday, January 16 from 9 am until 12:00pm, at which time a service will be held. The family would like to thank Dr. Jenssen, the ICU staff and the Covid ICU staff at Theda Clark-Appleton for their exceptional care and compassion. Due to Covid-19, the family understands that some people will not be comfortable attending the funeral. Please know that they appreciate your love and support from afar. |
