Notes - Mrs John (Martha) DeBeukelar, 78, 3050 Ryan Road, De Pere, passed away peacefully late Monday afternoon, Nov 3, 1997, at a local hospital. The daughter of the late Martin and Mary (Peters) Thyssen, was born Nov 5, 1918, in west De Pere. The former Martha Thyssen married John DeBeukelar at Immaculate Conception Church on June 10, 1943. She and her husband farmed in the Town of Rockland for many years; and, he preceded her in death on Nov 21, 1995. Martha was a member of the Christian Mothers Society at St Marys Parish, De Pere, and the Green Bay Square Dance Club.
Survivors include her children and their spouses, Norbert and Denise DeBeukelar, Janice and Robert Pelisek, Carol DeBeukelar, James DeBeukelar, Jane and Tony Bersch, Peter and Marsha DeBeukelar, Diane and Dan Rose, Eileen and Greg Anderson; ten grandchildren, Heather, Eric, Brady, Amanda, Jamey, Brittany, Jason, Stephanie, Travis, Bryan; two sisters, Gertrude Van Rossum and Florence Lemmen; and one brother, John Thyssen.
She was preceded in death by her husband, John; two brothers, Ray and Ed Thyssen; and one sister, Dorothy Cady.
Visitation will be held this morning from 10 to 11 am at St Marys Church, De Pere. Mass of Christian Burial will be at 11 am at the Church with the Rev John H Harper officiating. Burial in Mt Olivet Cemetery. Ryan Funeral is in charge of arrangements.
