    • Lorraine B. Betley, Kaukauna, formerly of Green Bay, age 86, died Sunday August 5, 2012 surrounded by her daughters at Cherry Meadows Hospice. She was born in Pulaski, Wisconsin on July 19, 1926 to the late John and Bernice (Jankowski) Smurawa. Lorraine married Erwin Betley on May 3, 1952 at Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary Church in Pulaski.

Lorraine dedicated her life to raising her family and providing a loving and caring home. She worked as a teacher's aide at St. Jude, Elmore, MacArthur, and Helen Keller schools in Green Bay. She enjoyed sewing, quilting, weaving, gardening, and travels with her family. The cottage up north was a favorite retreat for Lorraine and Erwin to spend time with their children and grandchildren. Later in life she enjoyed reading, knitting cap and mitten sets for needy school children and bird watching with her husband, Erwin. She and her husband were charter members of St. Jude parish, Green Bay where she served as lector and Eucharistic minister. Moving to Kaukauna 12 years ago they developed new relationships with neighbors and members of St. Katherine Drexel Parish, Kaukauna.

Lorraine is survived by her husband of 60 years, Erwin; children: Rev. Michael E.
