    • John M. "Jack" Pamperin, 77, Ashwaubenon, died Sunday, February 28, 2016 following a long journey with renal and heart failure. He was born on November 29, 1938, in Green Bay to Henry A. and Valeria (Champeau) Pamperin.

Jack was a graduate of Premontre High School. He then served his country in the U. S. Air Force from 1957 to 1961. He met Elizabeth G. Howell while stationed at Homestead Air Force Base. They were married in 1960 and moved to Green Bay in 1961. Jack began working for Fort Howard Paper Company in 1962 and retired 38 years later in 1999. In the earlier years of their marriage, both he and his wife enjoyed dancing competitively through Arthur Murray Dance Studio. Woodworking, gardening (especially tomatoes and roses), volunteering for Cerebral Palsy, Inc., line dancing with their "country group", camping, and helping neighborhood children learn to drive were just a few of his passions. His greatest passion, however, was playing with his grandchildren and spending time with family and friends. Jack was a member of Nativity of Our Lord Parish and the Knights of Columbus Council #7498.

He is survived by his wife, Elizabeth; his children and their spouses, Jean Vander Heiden, Mykel (Amy) Pamperin, Joanie (Chris) Boston, David (Kari) Pamperin; grandchildren, Kyle, Austin, Kimberly, Katie, Morgan, Nathan, Josh, and Caleb; brothers and sisters and their spouses, Dolly Williams, Clyde (Alice) Pamperin, Ralph (Barbara) Pamperin, Barb Briquelet; extended family members, Scott Vander Heiden, Dave Briquelet, Ann Pamperin, Karleen Pamperin, and Jean Pamperin; many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Jack was preceded in death by his parents; three brothers, Karl, Bob, Donne; his sister, Mary Pamperin; and his brother-in-law, Glen Williams.

Friends may call at Nativity of Our Lord Catholic Church, 2270 S. Oneida St., from 9 to 11 a.m. Saturday. The Memorial Mass will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at the church with Rev. John H. Harper officiating. Blaney Funeral Home is assisting the family. To send online condolences, please go to www.BlaneyFuneralHome.com.

In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established in Jack's name.

The family extends a special thank you to the following: the staff of DaVita Dialysis Center; Heartland Hospice, including Nurse Tricia and CNA Renee; Dr. Neu and his colleagues; Dr. Stastny at the Appleton VA Clinic; and the 7th and 9th floor nursing teams of St. Vincent Hospital.
