- Peter Binsfeld, an old and respected resident of our community, died at his home in this city last Thursday, March 15.
The decedent was born in Germany in 1862. When he was only two years of age his parents migrated to America, the family settling at Belgium. In 1889 he was united in marriage at that place to Miss Margaret Dimmer who now survives him. Soon after the young couple moved to a farm north of Brillion which was their home until 1924 when they retired from farming and took up their residence on Trier St. in our city. As a farmer he was very successful and was known as a thrifty and industrious man and in all respects a good neighbor and citizen.
Surviving him besides the widow are four sons, Michael of Forest Jct., Peter and Frank of Brillion town and Jos. W. of this city, assistant cashier of the Calumet County bank. There are four brothers, Nic. of Brillion, John of Chilton, George of Belgium and Frank of Tampa, Fla., and three sisters survive, Mrs. Conrad Buhl of West Bend, Mrs. Jac. Gorwa and Mrs. Mary Krause of Belgium.
The funeral was held on Saturday services being conducted at St. Marys church, Rev. Fr. Kraus officiating. Interment was in the Catholic cemetery north of this city.

Brillion Funeral services for Peter Binsfeld, aged 72, who died Thursday following a heart attack were held at St. Mary's church here. The Rev. Father Krause officiated. Mr. Binsfeld was born in Luxemburg, Germany, in 1861, and came to this country in 1865 with his parents, who settled in Belgium Ozaukee County. He was married forty-six years ago to Margaret Dimmer and the couple located on a farm in Town Brillion. Seven years ago they retired and came to the village.
Besides his wife Mr. Binsfeld is survived by four sons, Michael of Forest Junction, Peter, Frank and Joseph of Brillion, four brothers, Nick and George of Belgium, John of Chilton, Frank of Tampa, Fla., and three sisters, Mrs. Bill Kraus and Mrs. Jac. Gonwa of Belgium and Mrs. C. Buhl of West Bend.
