- Dennis C. Gilbertson, age 69 of Suring, passed away of natural causes on Monday, September 5, 2016 while doing what he loved, riding his bicycle. He was born to Charles and Christine (Pockat) Gilbertson on May 13, 1947. Dennis greatly enjoyed riding his bicycle, motorcycle, snowmobile, and spending time with his family and friends. He had a "slight" competitive edge when it came to riding the trails and highways with his friends. He was an active member of the Gillett Sno and ATV Riders.
Dennis is survived by his 2 daughters, Lisa (Wes) Mallo of Florida and their children Amber and Cal, Lori (David) Klingenberg of Florida and their children Lauren and Andrew; his mother, Christine Gilbertson of Gillett; 2 brothers, Duane (Bev) Gilbertson of Oconto Falls, Steve (Brenda) Gilbertson of Green Bay; 3 sisters, Audrey Jerek of Bonduel, Debbie (Richard) Ambrosius of Freemont, Becky (Walter) Gartner of Shawano. He is further survived by many nieces and nephews, other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his father, Charles W. Gilbertson; 2 brothers, Dean Gilbertson and Charles S. Gilbertson; his sister, Connie Hansen; niece, Tanya Gartner.
Visitation will be held at Bethel Lutheran Church - Green Valley on Saturday, September 10, 2016 from 9 am until the funeral service at 12 pm with Pastor Bill Gruenstern officiating. Interment will take place after the service in Bethel Lutheran Church Cemetery. Gruetzmacher Funeral Home in Suring is assisting the family with arrangements.
