      Age 68, died Saturday, January 5, 1985, after a three month illness. He was born January 19, 1916, in Wrightstown, and had farmed most of his life, until his retirement in 1978, in the Town of Kaukauna. He was a member of Holy Cross Catholic Church, Kaukauna.

      Survivors include his wife, Leona Verhoven Liebergen; two son and two daughters in-law, Merlin and Wendy, Deerbrook, Wisconsin; Ivo and Margaret, Kaukauna; four brothers, Omer, Greenleaf; Nestor, Askeaton, Willard, Hollandtown; Eugene, Freedom; three sisters; Mrs. Henry Hutjens, DePere; Mrs. Lorraine Weiland, Grafton; Mrs. Norman Gehring, Freedom; ten grandchildren; and a great grandchild.

      He was preceded in death by a daughter, Judy, three brothers, Harry, Urban, and Leander, and a sister, Olive Fritsch.

      The funeral will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday, at Holy Cross Catholic Church, with the Rev. Michael Hoffmann officiating. Interment will be in the parish cemetery. Friends may call at the Greenwood Funeral Home from 4-9 p.m. Tuesday and Wednesday morning until the cortege leaves for the church. There will be a prayer service Tuesday at the funeral home.
