Elmer Hopfensperger, Rt 4 Kaukauna, age 62, died Wednesday afternoon after a four month illness. He was born December 23, 1915, in the town of Buchanan, and lived and farmed all of his life in the Darboy area.
Survivors include a daughter, Mrs. Roger L. (Kathleen) Wilcox, Neenah; three brothers; Richard and Reynold, Rt 4 Appleton; Earl, Rt 4 Kaukauna; three sisters; Mrs. Otto (Louise) Lemke and Mrs. Robert (Blanche) Lehrer, both of Neenah; Mrs. Robert (Carmen) Biese, Rt 1 Menasha; three grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, Eileen in 1965.
The complete funeral will be at 11 a.m. Monday at Holy Angels Catholic Church, Darboy. His nephew, Rev. Ronald Hopfensperger will officiate. Interment will be in the parish cemetery. Friends may call after 3 p.m. Sunday at the Greenwood Funeral Home, Kaukauna. There will be a prayer service at 8 p.m. Sunday. A memorial fund has been established in his name for the American Cancer Society.
