Rural Appleton Man Dies
Joesph Henry Hopfensperger, Route 4, Appleton, died at 4:30 a.m. Tursday following a long illness. He was 68, born January 10, 1901 in the Town of Buchanan, Mr. Hopfensperger farmed in the Town of Harrison most of his life . He retired in 1967 . He belonged to the Catholic Knights of Darboy.
Survivors include his wife, Marie; three daughters, Miss. Lucy and Miss Mary Hopfensperger, at home; and Mrs. Carl ( Marion) Buchinger, Rt 3 Kaukauna; two sons, Edward and Roger, at home; four brothers, Richard, Reynold, Earl, all of Rt 4 Appleton; Elmer, Rt 4 Kaukauna; four sisters, Mrs. Otto (Lucy) Lemke and Mrs. Robert (Blanche) Lehrer, both of Neenah; Mrs. Alois (Carmen) Thiel, Rt 1 Menasha; Mrs. Molly Coffey, Milwaukee; and 10 grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday from Holy Angels Catholic Church, Darboy. Interment will be in the parish cemetery. Friends may call after 2 p.m. Thursday at the Greenwood Funeral Home, Kaukauna. The parish rosary will be prayed at 8 p.m. Thursday...
