    • Frances Vanden Hoogen Hendricks Penn, 85, died suddenly Thursday, May 2, 2002, at her home in Rogers, Ark. She was born Sept. 25, 1916, to the late William and Anna Van Summeren Vanden Hoogen. She married Roland Hendricks. He preceded her in death on Aug. 7, 1965. She later married Lorton Penn, who also preceded her in death on April 5, 1997. Frances is survived by one son, William Kathleen Hendricks, Eagle River; three grandchildren, William Dawn Hendricks Jr. and their children, Patrick and Matthew, Clintonville, John Jenny Hendricks and their child, Tanner, Christine Hendricks, all of Green Bay; Lorton’s two sons, Ronald Doris Penn, Richard Sharon Penn; and Lorton’s grandchildren of Iowa. She is also survived by two sisters, Minnie Van Lanen, Mildred Rufus Aschenbrenner, De Pere; one brother, Joe Vanden Hoogen, Milwaukee; three sisters-in-law, Janet, Peggy and Mary Anne Vanden Hoogen; one brother-in-law, Gerald Komorosky; Roland’s sister, brother and sisters-in-law, Evelyn Gofford, Elmer and Evie Hendricks, Rosie Hendricks and Loretta Hansen; many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by one grandson, James Hendricks; three sisters, Cora Kobes, Susie Hutjens, Harriet Kocken Komorosky; five brothers, Dick Hogen, Bill, Clarence, Harry and Clem Vanden Hoogen; Lorton’s son Robert; sisters and brothers-in-law, Elmer Van Lanen, Neil Kocken, Dell Vanden Hoogen, Ray Hutjens, Frank Kobes, Toni Kobes, Sylvester and Leona Van Gheem, Art Hendricks, Fred Hendricks, Ben Goffard, Jerry and Lillian Goffard and Lyman Hansen. The family will receive friends and relatives at St. Agnes Catholic Church, 1484 Ninth St., from 10 to 11 a.m. Friday. A Memorial Mass will be held at 11 a.m. Friday at the church with the Rev. Richard Getchel officiating. The Hendricks family would like to thank Ann and Richard Riesterer for all the help and care given to Frances while she was living in Arkansas. Blaney Funeral Home is assisting the family.
