 | Margaret “Muggs” Driessen, 82, passed away on Tuesday, February 11, 2025. Margaret was born on March 31, 1942 to Frank and Elizabeth (Schabo) Geurtz. On October 17, 1964 she was united in marriage to Roger Driessen. Her lifelong occupations were wife, mom, grandma, and homemaker. She would not have had it any other way, and she excelled at each in very special ways. Muggs always had a sweet treat ready for the family; tortes, pies, scotcharoos, and the best chocolate chip cookies, with plenty of extras in the freezer. She loved the feeling of sunshine on her skin and family by her side; especially while enjoying a pontoon ride at the family cottage on Crooked Lake, or while swinging away on her favorite gliders at the cottage or on her patio deck at home. Her dogs, who lived the best lives, were also important parts of her family, and a lucky pup could always be found sitting on her lap. Holidays were always a special time getting the whole family together including her husband, four children and their spouses, and her many grandchildren and great grandchildren. She loved Christmas, and she would fill the living room with presents, and put on a feast, with her special recipes that will carry forward. Muggs was very talented in sewing, cross-stitching, and knitting; leaving behind many beautiful and cherished gifts including afghans, quilts, and various home and holiday décor. Muggs collected Precious Moments and had just about every one, showing when she loved something, she gave it her whole heart. Her memory will always be treasured by those who were blessed enough to be near to her.
Margaret is survived by her husband Roger; children: Jenny (Scott) Kohl, Amy Driessen, Jim (Monica) Driessen, Mike (Tracey) Driessen; 8 grandchildren: Josh (Tori) Revoir, Sam (Katie) Revoir, Emily (Dan) Strassburg, Andrew ”AJ” Driessen, Dan Driessen, Eliot Driessen, Kylie Driessen, Bryce Driessen; 2 step grandchildren: Brodie Kohl and Rachel (Parker Campbell) Kohl; great grandchildren: Keegan, Parker, Sawyer, Jaden, Hudson, Dakota, Barrett, Colton, and step great grandchild Joey.
