Notes - Requiem Mass for Anna E. VanDerZanden, 63, was held
Wednesday in St. Anthony Catholic Church in Forest
Grove.
The Rt. Rev. Msgr. Edmund Vanderzanden, Very Rev. Paul
Malyszko and Rev. James Heade officiated. Mrs. Fred
Normandin was organist.
Office of the Dead was held Tuesday night in Forest Grove
Memorial Chapel.
Interment was in Mount Calvary Cemetery with Albert
VanDeMoortele, Kenneth Donaldson, Frank Pranger,
Henry Taghon, Bernard Seus and Mike Greener, pallbearers.
Mrs. VanDerZanden died Sunday at University of Oregon
Medical School, following a short illness.
She was born April 26, 1907, at Cornelius, the daughter of
William and Frances Hendricks. She was married to
Martin F. VanDerZanden at Cornelius Feb. 8, 1927, and he
preceded her in death Nov. 17, 1962. She had lived in Cornelius
area all her life, where she and her husband Martin farmed. She was a member of St. Alexander Catholic Church in Cornelius and of St. Alexander Altar Society.
She is survived by sons Richard W. of Springfield, Stanley P. of Gresham, Donald W. of Beaverton, Gerald L. of Portland and Harold C. of Forest Grove; daughter, Mrs. Patricia A. DeFore of Portland
and 17 grandchildren.
Family suggests those who desire to do so may make memorial contributions to the University of Oregon Medical School Cancer Research Dept.
