- Oscar A. Bartelt, age 95, of Weyauwega, died on Wednesday, July 13, 2011 at St. Joseph Residence in New London. He was born on November 18, 1915 in the Town of Wolf River, the son of the late Fred and Martha(Krenke)Bartelt. Oscar farmed in the Town of Fremont for over 40 years. He was a member of Zion Lutheran Church in the Town of Caledonia and enjoyed woodworking, gardening and fishing. Oscar is survived by two brothers, Clarence Bartelt, Sheboygan; and Edgar(Marcella)Bartelt, Appleton; a sister, Elda Turner, Fremont; two nephews, Ronald(Deborah)Bartelt, Sheboygan; and Robert(Linda)Bartelt, Manawa; a niece, Marilyn Turner, Fremont; cousins, other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by a brother-in-law, Marion Turner and a sister-in-law, Shirley Bartelt. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, July 16, 2011 at 1:00 PM at Zion Lutheran Church, E9016 Marsh Rd., Fremont. Rev. Doug Reinders will officiate. Burial will be in Wolf River Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Friday at the Lewin Funeral Home, Fremont, from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM and on Saturday at the church from 12:00 Noon until the time of service. A memorial fund has been established for Zion Lutheran Church.
