    • HENRY BRANTMEIER

Death has again invaded our community and this time claimed one of Harrison's most worthy citizens for its own. Henry Brantmeier, whose life so full of usefulness and good suddenly came to a close, died Sunday evening, June 30th, after an illness of several months' duration.
Deceased was born in Boscobel, Grant county, Sept. 30th, 1860,(sic) coming with his parents to this section when but a mere lad, 7 years old. He labored faithfully, sharing with his brothers and sisters in the early hardships, the family succeeding in building up a fine home.
He was married March 2nd, 1886 to Miss Dora (Victoria) Schifferling of Menasha, and continued residing on the Brantmeier homestead formerly occupied by his parents.
Here eight children were born to Mr. and Mrs. Brantmeier, seven of whom survive; Andrew, Thos., Wm., Theresa, Leonard, Urban and Katherine. Besides a sorrowing wife and family there remain five brothers, Andrew, of Harrison, John of Superior, George of Winnebago, Mike of Milwaukee, and James of Madison; three sisters, Mrs. Jos. Wolf and Mrs. J. Remanup of Marshfield, and Mrs. Geo. Wolf, of this town.
The funeral took place Wednesday from the church of the Sacred Heart, Sherwood, of which, during his life, he was a most devout member.
