    • Edward J. Glinski, 95, longtime resident of Green Bay, died Monday, May 5, 2008, at a local nursing home. He was born Oct. 27, 1912, in Green Bay, to the late John and Anna Glinski. On Aug. 10, 1940, he married Kathleen Manning in De Pere. Edward served three years from 1942 to 1945 in the U.S. Army during World War II. He had been employed at American Can for many years, retiring in 1974. Ed enjoyed repairing televisions and tuning up automobiles.

      Survivors include his wife, Kathleen; a daughter and son-in-law, Carol Jean and Dennis Lamal; a son, Gary Glinski; his grandchildren, Gina (Jeff) Frease, Todd (Lisa) Lamal; his great-grandchildren, Jacob and Emily Frease, Nick Arnoldi; a sister, Pauline Luedtke; a sister-in-law, Dorothy Glinski; his brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Fran Manning, Jeanette and Joe Glowacki, Dorothy Leininger, Rosemary Manning; nieces and nephews.

      He was preceded in death by his parents; a daughter, Kathy Ann; three brothers, Antone, Wally and Frank Glinski; two sisters, Ned Pierkowski, Marie Kalinowski; and a brother-in-law, Dick Manning.

      Friends may call at Blaney Funeral Home, 1521 Shawano Ave., from 4 to 7 p.m. Friday. There will be a prayer service at 6:30 p.m. Friday. Friends may also call at the funeral home from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. Saturday. The funeral service will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday with Deacon Harvey Quinette officiating.
