Little Chute - Thomas W. Vander Pas, 85, passed away on November 10, 2021. He was born in Little Chute on June 14, 1936, to the late Nick and Rosemary (Hoolihan) Vander Pas. He was united in marriage to his high school sweetheart, Joyce (Gloudemans) Vander Pas, on February 4, 1958. Tom was blessed to spend 62 years with Joyce before her passing in 2020. He was a lifelong member of St. John's Nepomucene in Little Chute.

Tom has resided at Frontida-Kimberly Memory Care since the passing of his wife, and the family is very grateful for the excellent and loving care provided by the staff at Frontida.

Tom's greatest joy was his family. He especially enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren. He also enjoyed singing, writing, a good joke, the camaraderie of good friends, and tending to his flowers.

Tom participated in many sports in his younger years, especially enjoying baseball throughout college and beyond. He was a lifelong fan of the Packers, Brewers, and Badgers and enjoyed singing Varsity after Badger games.

Tom is survived and will be dearly missed by his children: Tim (Diana) Vander Pas, Woodbury, MN; Tammy (Mike) Maley, Appleton; Troy (Brenda) Vander Pas, North Fond du Lac, along with 11 grandchildren: Kirk (Jenn & great-granddaughter, Harper), Cole, Erin, Abby, Macy, Christa (fiancé Patrick), Carly (Turner), and Ty Vander Pas; Daniel (Lindsey), Rachel, and Matthew (fiancé Morgan) Maley. He is further survived by his brother, Dan (Mary) Vander Pas, along with numerous nieces and nephews. He is also survived by the mothers of his grandchildren, Dawn Vander Pas and Lisa Bons, along with his former amazing neighbors, Todd and Lee Bruyette (as well as their children) who were always there for Tom (and Joyce).

Tom was preceded in death by his wife, Joyce; his son, Tod; his parents (Rose and Nick Vander Pas); Joyce's parents (Margaret and John Gloudemans); siblings: Jim, Pat, and Marilyn Vander Pas, as well as Joyce's siblings, Carole Seidl, Don, Ron, Jack, and Ken Gloudemans.

The family would like to, once again, thank the Bruyette family for all they did for Tom (and Joyce) throughout the years prior to Dad's placement at Frontida. We were all fortunate the day you moved next door to mom and dad and so happy they considered you their friends.

Private family services are being held on Saturday, November 27. A Celebration of Life will take place at Rose Hill at 1:00 p.m. for friends and family. In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to Frontida Assisted Living of Kimberly, 816 Schelfhout Lane, Kimberly, Wisconsin, 54136.

Dad (Grandpa), we are thankful you have been reunited with Mom. Give her a hug from all of us!
