- Ida Mary Peeters
Ida M. Peeters, 93, of Little Chute, passed away Wednesday, October 09, 2013, surrounded by her loving family. She was born July 30, 1920, in Little Chute, daughter of the late Joseph and Anna (Van Gompel) Verstegen. Ida married Jim Peeters on July 12, 1941, at St. John Nepomucene Catholic Church during a double wedding ceremony with her twin sister Irene and her husband Don. She was a lifelong member of St. Johns Church and volunteered with the St. Elizabeth Society. Ida was also a long time member of the Jacob Coppus American Legion Auxiliary Unit 258. She enjoyed baking, knitting, crocheting, playing cards and watching the Packers and Brewers. Her greatest pride in life was her family. Ida's love was unconditional. God's gift to us was our mother. We are better people because of her. Mom's devotion to the daily rosary and novenas was unending, even until death. She taught us much about goodness and generosity. We will always be thankful to God for the gift she was to all of us.
