Hietpas, Gordon Gordon Hietpas, age 77, of Green Bay, formerly of Little Chute, died Sunday evening, June 4, 2006, at a local hospital. The son of the late Martin and Wilhelmina (Dercks) Hietpas was born August 14, 1928 in Little Chute. On October 29, 1947, he married the former Dorothy M. Molle at St. John's Catholic Church, Little Chute. The couple celebrated their fifty-seventh wedding anniversary.
Mr. Hietpas owned and operated the Club 18 in De Pere for eighteen years, and retired from Paper Converting Co. in 1991. Gordon enjoyed all sports, especially football. He was an avid Green Bay Packers fan.
Survivors include his wife, Dorothy, three daughters: Faye (John) Mostek, Connie (Gary) Van Grunsven, Cathy (Bob) Derricks, six sons: Ron (Helen) Hietpas, Lee (special friend, Suzanne) Hietpas, Dan (Georgiana) Hietpas, Keith (Carrie) Hietpas, Joe (Becky) Hietpas, Jerry (Sheri) Hietpas, three sisters, Verona (Robert) Pahl, Grace (Bill) Van Dyn Hoven, Marie (Carl) Verstagen, three brothers: Paul Hietpas, Richard (Rosie) Hietpas, William (Pat) Hietpas, a sister-in-law, Evelyn (Luke) Hietpas, 27 grandchildren, 17 great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by two brothers: Austin and Myrtle Hietpas, James and Marie Hietpas, two brothers-in-law: Robert Pahl, Carl Verstagen, and a sister-in-law, Delores Hietpas.
Friends may call at RYAN FUNERAL HOME, 305 North Tenth Street, De Pere from 3 to 8 p.m. Wednesday June 7, 2006. Parish prayer service will be held at 3:30 p.m. Visitation will continue from 9:30 to 11 a.m. Thursday, June 8, 2005, at St. John Catholic Church, Little Chute. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday at the church with the Father Jim Hogan, officiating. Burial to follow in the church cemetery. The Hietpas family extends a sincere thank you to the Third Floor Staff at St. Mary's hospital for their excellent care provided to their Dad preceding his death. Their care, kindness and family support was greatly appreciated.
