  Source: Appleton Post Crescent Obituary Sunday, July 24, 2005 Hietpas, Myrtle J. Age 93, Little Chute, passed away peacefully on Friday, July 22, 2005, at Kindred Hearts, Kaukauna. She was born, April 5, 1912, in Freedom, daughter of William and Minnie (Weyenberg) Voster. Myrtle married Austin Hietpas, August 22, 1939, at St. Therese Catholic Church, Appleton and he preceded her in death in 1976. Austin owned and operated the Hietpas Restaurant in Little Chute. She was a member of St. John Nepomucene Catholic Church, Little Chute. God was her priority and praying the rosary was an important part of her life. In her younger years, she enjoyed bowling and playing cards. Mrs. Hietpas is survived by her children: Darla (Don) LeNoble, Little Chute; Sue (Del) Arnold-LeMarche, Appleton; Dennis (Bonnie) and Duane (Sally) Hietpas, both of Kaukauna; Denise (Roger) Price, Kimberly; 22 grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren; 4 great-great-grandchildren; brothers: Paul “Tarz” (Delores), Gordon (Dorothy), Richard (Rosalie) and William (Pat) Hietpas; sisters-in-law: Verona Pahl, Grace (Bill) Van Dyn Hoven and Marie Verstegen. Myrtle was also preceded in death by a brother, Harold (Lydia) Voster; sisters, Wilma (Pete) Van Boxtel and Marie (Jim) Hietpas; son-in-law, Wayne Arnold; brothers-in-law: Bob Pahl and Carl “Bucky” Verstegen; her companion after Austin died, Nick Vande Hey. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Monday, July 25, 2005, at St. John Nepomucene Catholic Church with Rev. Msgr. James Vanden Hogen officiating. Interment will be in St. John Cemetery. Friends may call at the Verkuilen Funeral Home from 4 to 8 p.m. Sunday and at the church from 9:30 a.m. Monday until the time of the mass. A prayer service will be held at 7:30 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home. The family wishes to express a special thank you to the staffs at Kindred Hearts and Heartland Hospice; also to Father Jim for his visits with mother, to Dr. Kimberly Schoenbill, Sue Kinnard and those people that comforted her and stayed with her though her illness.
