Little Chute - John A. "Jack" Wydeven, age 82, died Saturday, October 2, 2021 at Little Chute Health Services. He was born in Appleton on August 15, 1939 to the late George and Agnes (Van Hammond) Wydeven. Jack graduated from St. John's High School in 1957. He then served with the U.S. Army Reserve from 1957-1965. Jack married Carol Diedrich at Holy Cross Parish on February 7, 1959. She preceded him in death just eleven days prior, on September 21st.
Through the years, Jack worked at the Neenah Sewage Plant, Fox River Paper, Pioneer Press, and various other businesses. His love was owning "Jack & Carol's Bar" in Little Chute. He also enjoyed owning and operating "Forms for Business."
Jack loved watching all sports, often using two TVs, one for Nascar and one for any other sport! He also loved golfing, his daily swims at the YMCA in Appleton, the Packers, the Brewers and of course, the Little Chute Mustangs. He treasured his time spent with family and friends. He and Carol wintered in Florida for many years, where golf season never ended.
Jack is survived by his children: Mike (Nancy), Jim (Lisa), and Mark Wydeven, all of Kaukauna; grandchildren: Amanda Wydeven, Michael (Amy), Kevin, and Elise DeBruin; great grandson, Jaxzyn (Michael & Amy); siblings: Ken Wydeven and Judy (Bill) Asuma; and sisters-in-law: Joyce Reiter, Darlene Berghuis, and Nancy Diedrich. He is further survived by many wonderful nieces, nephews, and friends.
In addition to his parents and wife, Carol, Jack was preceded in death by his father and mother-in-law, John and Gladys Diedrich; siblings: David, Dorothy Mae and Carol Ann Wydeven; and brothers-in-law: Stan Berghuis and Jack Diedrich.
Visitation will be held Friday, October 8, 2021 at ST. JOHN NEPOMUCENE CATHOLIC CHURCH (411 Vandenbroek Street, Little Chute) beginning at 9:30 a.m. until time of Funeral at 11:30 a.m. The Rev.
