Notes - Catherine Eva Tordeur, age 98, passed away November 12, 2013 in Green Bay, Wisconsin. She was born in the Town of De Pere, Brown County, Wisconsin to Peter Leiterman and Cecilia (Vanden Heuvel) Leiterman on September 18, 1915. Catherine married Chris A. Tordeur on September 18, 1934. He passed away on October 31, 1988. He always called her "Kitty." Together they had six children, Russell Tordeur (special friend Carla Luedeman), Eileen Rose-Schultz, Christine Hornick, Michael (Kathy) Tordeur, Virginia (Dale) Frasch, and Jeanie Hlinak. Grandchildren are Sarah Schafer, Doug (Genifer) Schaefer, Hope Schaefer, April Hornick (Adrian Delacruz), Steven Tordeur, Shelly (Chris) Schley, Julie (Brad) Hooyman, Dawn (Jason) Kostichka, Danelle (John) Buyarski, Lloyd (Claire) Hlinak and Lori Hlinak. She has ten great-grandchildren. One brother, Gerald Leiterman and one sister-in-law, Ella Vande Hei also survive. Catherine's surviving God-children are Robert Holmes, Joyce (Ronald) DeBauche, Joan (Jim) Dolan, and Lloyd (Claire) Hlinak.
Catherine was preceded in death by her parents, one son-in-law, Jim Hlinak, one grandchild, Brian Hlinak, three brothers and six sisters.
Catherine loved her family above everything else. She was an excellent cook and baker, who was known for her wonderful pies. She liked to play schafskopf with her family and friends.
Visitation will be held at St. Philip the Apostle Church, 312 Victoria Street, Green Bay, Wisconsin from 9:30 A.M. until the Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 A.M. on Saturday, November 16, 2013 with the Rev. John H. Harper officiating. Burial will be in the Allouez Catholic Cemetery. Cotter Funeral Home is assisting the family.
The family would especially like to thank Lori Hlinak for all the loving care and concern she gave her grandmother.
