    • Walter A. Oakley, 63, of 313 Clay Street, Chilton, died Thursday, Sept. 6, at Calumet Memorial Hospital, Chilton, apparently after a heart attack.
      He was born May 20, 1916, in Stockbridge, a son of Raymond and Bertha Kuster Oakley.
      On June 19, 1940, he and Isabelle Maas were married at Congregational Church , Menasha.
      He served in the Army during World War II.
      Mr. Oakley worked for Hart-Carter Co., New Holstein, for seven years, at Aluminum Specialty Co., Chilton, and at Carnation Co., Chilton. He worked at Carnation for 19 years, retiring in February.
      He was a member of Ebenezer United Church of Christ, Chilton, and American Legion Post 125.
      Surviving are his wife; two daughters, Mrs. Charlotte Holtz, Two Rivers, and Mrs. Bruce{Donna} Kuba, Chilton; a son Lyle, Hilbert; a sister, Mrs. Walter Riske, Manitowoc; a brother, Alfred, Manitowoc, eight grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a brother.
      Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 9, at Ebenezer UCC. The Rev. Quentin Moeschberger, pastor, officiated.
      Burial was in Hillside.
