    • Mary Jane L. (Vanden Heuvel) Verbruggen, age 86, passed away peacefully with family by her side, on Wednesday, October 14, 2015. She was born April 26, 1929, in Little Chute, Daughter of Bill and Christine (VanHandel) Vanden Heuvel. Mary Jane married Casey Verbruggen May 11, 1950, at Saint John Catholic Church, Little Chute, where she was also a member. Mary Jane was a loving wife, mother and grandmother and enjoyed raising and caring for her family. Mary Jane loved spending time at their cottage on Crystal Lake. She also enjoyed playing cards with family and friends. She received great pleasure in attending the many school activities and sporting events of her grandchildren.

      Mary Jane is survived by one daughter, Pam Van Gompel (special friend, Charlie Hermus); four sons, Bill, Dave (Pat), Dan (Billie), Ken (Karen); one daughter in law, Robin (Van Epern) Verbruggen; 17 grandchildren, Emily, Marnie and Libby; Eric, Ryan, Adam and Carrie; Casey and Laura; Christine, Jacob and Kala; Morgan and Zach; Luke, Ben and Anna; 13 great grandchildren; a sister, Joanie Verbrick; sisters-in-law, Joanne Cobb and Betty Verbruggen; numerous nieces and nephews and friends.

      She was preceded in death by her parents; mother-in-law and father-in-law, Henry and Caroline (Van Rhyn); husband Casey; a son, Lee; a brother, Leo (Delores); sisters, Margaret (Chub) Vander Velden; Doris (Ted) Heid; Alice Hermsen; in-laws, Joe Verbrick; John Verbruggen; Jakie and Rich Ebben; Leslie Cobb.

      Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, October 19, 2015, at St. John Nepomucene Catholic Church, 323 S. Pine Street, Little Chute, with Fr. Ron Belitz officiating. Visitation will be at the church on Monday from 9:00 a.m. until the time of the Mass. Interment will be in St. John Cemetery, Little Chute. For online condolences, please visit www.verkuilenfh.com.
