St. Paul Home, Kaukauna
Age 90, formerly of De Pere, died peacefully Thursday, March 6, 1997 at a nursing home in Kaukauna. The daughter of the late Theodore and Nellie (Van Handel) Williamsen was born May 10, 1906 in Little Chute. Mary married Barney Micke on October 10, 1933 in Little Chute. He preceded her in death on January 23, 1957. She and Barney owned and operated Micke's Grocery Store in De Pere for many years. Mary is survived by a special niece, Ione Brecklin, Appleton; a sister, Agnes (Lawrence) Huss, Little Chute; four sisters-in-law: Geraldine Williamsen, Kaukauna, Viola Williamsen, Appleton; Betty Williamsen, Appleton; Catherine Van Lanen, Kaukauna; numerous other nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Barney; her parents, three sisters: Hattie Schumacher, Gertrude Vanden Heuvel, Ann Williamsen; three brothers: George, Joseph and John Williamsen.
Friends may call on Monday from 1-3 p.m. at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church, Grant Street (Formerly St. Boniface Church), De Pere. Mass of Christian Burial at 3 p.m. Monday at the church with Rev. Don Noel O.Praem officiating. Burial in Holy Cross Cemetery, Kaukauna. Ryan Funeral Home, De Pere is assisting the family. A memorial fund has been established for St. Paul Home, Kaukauna.
