![]() | Janice Elaine Redfield May 19, 1947 — May 29, 2025 Appleton Janice Redfield, 78, passed away on May 29, 2025, at the UW Hospital, Madison, and she hopes to be reunited in heaven with her daughter, sister, and parents. She was born on May 19, 1947, in Neenah, the daughter of Alta and Marcella (Brehm) Redfield. Jan enjoyed watching movies, volunteering, attending craft shows and rummage sales, and visiting the Appleton farmers market and her friend’s cottage. She loved watching the deer and birds in her yard. Jan was employed with George Banta Publishing for over 40 years. Janice is survived by her sisters: Barbara (Dave) Spoehr, Mary Van Elzen, Margie (Mike) Reetz, Patti Angell, and Eileen (Pete) Mahoney; a brother-in-law Len Rusch; numerous nieces and nephews; other relatives and friends. Janice was preceded in death by her parents; a daughter: Anne Freiberg; sister: Ellen Rusch; brothers-in-law: Bob Van Elzen and Gary Angell; and a nephew, Tim Rusch. Funeral services will be held at Noon, on Thursday, June 12, 2025, at the Wichmann Funeral Home, Laemmrich Chapel, 312 Milwaukee St., Menasha. Visitation will be on Thursday at the chapel from 10:30am until the time of the service. Inurnment will take place at St. Mary Cemetery, Menasha. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are appreciated to the Community Clothes Closet or the Salvation Army. Jan’s family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to the staff within the cardiac unit of St. Elizabeth Hospital, Appleton and UW Hospital, Madison for their kindness, compassion, and care. |
