    • Donald E. Bentle, 74, Appleton, passed away Wednesday, July 6, 2011 at his home. He was born October 2, 1936 in Freemont to the late Ernest and Myrom (Kipp) Bentle. Don proudly served in the U.S. Army and married Merle Beyer in 1969. He worked at James River Paper Company until retiring in 1999.

      Survivors include his wife, Merle; sons: Brian Bentle, Appleton and Kurt (Lindie) Bentle, Wautoma; four grandchildren and two great grandchildren.

      A Memorial Service for Don will be held at 11:00 am Saturday, July 9, 2011 at St. John United Church of Christ (1130 W Marquette St.) Appleton with Rev. Tom Fritz officiating. Friends may visit the family from 10:00 am until the time of services Saturday at church.
