- Forest Junction Following an illness which had confined her for more than a year, Mrs. Paul Zirbel, 72, lifelong resident of this community, died Saturday at her home on route 1, Forest Junction.
A daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Wm. Jansch, pioneer settlers here, she was born at Waukesha Aug. 28, 1868, a little less than a year before the family came here in the summer of 1869.
Two husbands, Albert Stanelle in 1887 and Frank Stanelle in 1901, and two young children in the 1890s preceded her in death.
Surviving are the widower; three sons, Albert Stanelle, Manitowoc, Grover Stanelle, Seymour, and Aberhardt Zirbel, Forest Junction; five daughters, Mrs. F. W. Zirbel, Forrest Junction, Mrs. Orin Kreimann, Wayside, Mrs. Elmer Korb, Mrs. Herbert Korb and Miss Margaret Zirbel, all of Forest Junction; one sister, Mrs. Rose Lindow, Chili; one brother, Charles Jansch, Forest Junction; 23 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren.
The funeral was held Tuesday at the Evangelical church where the Rev. Philip Schneider was assisted in conducting the services by the Rev. A. E. Happe of Adell. Burial followed in the church cemetery.
