    Charles K. Brinkman, age 83, died August 9, 2024. He was born in Appleton to the late Otto and Margaret (Riehl) Brinkman on October 17, 1940. Charles married the love of his life, Barbara Beyer, on September 19, 1970, at Bethany Lutheran Church in Kaukauna. They were married for 45 years before she preceded him in death in January of 2016. He spent most of his career at Badger Northland, retiring in 2002. Charles enjoyed playing cards, gardening, and watching Wisconsin sports teams. He loved fishing at Bass Lake, but above all, cherished his family and time spent with them.

    Charles is survived by his children: Kevin (Amanda) Brinkman, of Little Chute; Michael Brinkman (Jill Hooyman), of Little Chute; Steve (Rachelle) Brinkman, of Appleton; and Nancy (Tom) Smith, of Florida; his grandchildren: Gavin, Garrett, and Mark Brinkman, Erica (Garrett) Sutula, and Alex (Taylor) and Ryan Smith. Charles is further survived by two great grandchildren, Liam and Adeline Smith; and his siblings and siblings-in-law: Dennis Brinkman, David (Pat) Brinkman, Janice (Nick) Woldt, Barbara (Tom) Oswald, Marilyn Brinkman, Pat Brinkman, and Betty Beyer; as well as many nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.

    In addition to his parents, Charles is preceded by his wife, Barbara; and his siblings and siblings-in-law: Betty (John) Best, Carole Hemmen, Jack Brinkman, Larry Brinkman, Linda (Ken) Wichman, and Nancy Brinkman.

    Visitation for Charles will be held Thursday, August 15, 2024, at ST. LUKE LUTHERAN CHURCH (705 E. Greenfield Dr., Little Chute) beginning at 9:30 a.m. until 10:45 a.m. Funeral will follow at 11:00 a.m. with the Rev. David Schmidt officiating.
