  • Notes
    • Florence Beahm, age 87, Kaukauna, was called home to her Lord's arms early on Friday, July 1, 2011. Florence was born in Kaukauna on November 2, 1923, daughter of the late George and Helen (Kloehn) Lau. She was a 1941 graduate of the Kaukauna High School, and worked as a waitress in Milwaukee as a young woman. It was there she met her future husband, Clifford Beahm, who she married on her birthday in 1944. Over the years, Florence worked as a waitress in Kaukauna, as well as at the Hilltop Bakery.

Florence was a lifelong and faithful member of Trinity Ev. Lutheran Church where she was a member of the Women's Aid Society for over fifty years. She held all of the offices at one time or another and for many years headed up the funeral meal committee. She enjoyed gardening until just two years ago. Her family and friends always appreciated her gifts of frozen and canned produce. Many will also recall Florence's love of bowling - she was in a league for many years. She also enjoyed playing cards with her lady friends.

Florence is survived by four children: Jim (Diane) Beahm of Kaukauna; Pat Brault of Green Bay; Cheryl (Jim) Van Stiphout of Kaukauna; and Lori Beahm of Kaukauna. Her grandchildren are Brenda (Robin) Veternick, Mark (Sarah) Beahm, Jennifer (Eric) Schneider, Lisa (Scott) Parker, Tina (Shawn) Filipiak, Jody (Kellie) Brault, Anthony (Peg) Brault, Christopher (Stacey) Brault, Brittney Van Stiphout and her special friend Bryan Lindbergh, Brian Van Stiphout, and Joy Lynn Beahm. There are also seventeen great-grandchildren, as well as many nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends. Florence was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Clifford in 1993, sisters Wilma (Otto) Zastrow, Selma (Urban) Gerrits, and Lorraine Lau; a son-in-law Leon Brault in 2005, a brother-in-law Earl (Ethel) Beahm, and a sister-in-law Estella (Pete) Brown.

The Christian Funeral for Florence will be held at 11:00 AM on Wednesday, July 6, 2011 at TRINITY EV. LUTHERAN CHURCH, 804 Grignon Street in Kaukauna, with Rev. Timothy Wilkens officiating. Interment will be in the church cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home from 4:00 PM until 8:00 PM on Tuesday and again Wednesday morning at church from 9:00 AM until the time of the service. In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund is being established in Florence's name.

The family would like to thank everyone for their love, prayers, and assistance during Florence's illness. Special thanks to the caregivers from Theda Care At Home, and St. Paul Elder Services. We will never forget your kindness.
