In his younger years, he enjoyed fishing and bowling, and always looked forward to visiting Ellen when she lived in Chippewa Falls. Most of all, he loved to spend time with his children and granddaughters.

Glen is survived by two children, Mark Meinert, Kaukauna, and his special friend, Peggy Stone; and Beth (Doug) Olson, Freedom; two granddaughters, Michelle and Karissa Meinert; a sister, Gladys Giebisch, Menasha; and three sisters-in-law, Dolores Meinert, Kaukauna; Vivian (Dan) Sachs, New London; and Norrine (Doug) Devenport, West Bend; as well as nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Arlette, in 2000; a daughter, Ellen, in 2008; a brother, Art; and a sister, Jean (Harold) Frederick.

The Christian Funeral for Glen will be held at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday, June 29, 2010, at TRINITY EV. LUTHERAN CHURCH, 804 Grignon Street in Kaukauna, with the Rev. Karl Schultz officiating. Military honors will follow the worship service. Interment will be in Highland Memorial Park.
